Insurance and risk solutions from Osford Risk Group
Protecting Assets. Managing Risk. Supporting Growth.
This section presents the insurance and risk-management services offered under the Osford Risk Group name. Cover, limits and terms are arranged case by case and are always subject to underwriting acceptance.
About Osford Risk Group
Osford Risk Group
Osford Risk Group is our dedicated insurance and risk partner. It supports counterparties on risk assessment, cargo and transit cover, secure handling arrangements and the wider assistance a cross-border precious-metals transaction requires.
Work begins at enquiry stage rather than at delivery, so handling, transit, custody and counterparty matters are considered and recorded in writing before goods move. Each arrangement is written up, shared with the counterparty and kept with the transaction records.
Important note
Cover, limits and terms are arranged case by case, subject to underwriting acceptance, documentation and applicable regulation. Nothing on this page is a confirmation that cover is in place or an offer of insurance.
Osford Risk Group arranges cover with insurers; it does not underwrite risk itself. No premiums, rates or indicative figures are published on this website.
Insurance solutions
Cover arranged around the work
Corporate & commercial insurance
Cover arranged around a company's operations, contracts and liabilities — business interruption, public and product liability, professional indemnity, directors and officers, and employee-related exposures. Scope follows the contracts the business actually holds.

Mining & natural-resources risk
Risk assessment and cover arrangement across sourcing and site operations: plant and machinery, contractors, product handling and weighing, on-site custody, and the movement of mined and refined product from site to facility.

Marine / cargo & transit insurance
Cover arranged for the secure movement of goods and refined product by air, road and sea — all-risks transit cover, sealed and tamper-evident packaging expectations, escorted movement and handover points aligned to the Incoterm applied.

Property & asset protection
Arrangements for premises, plant, stored product, vault and custody exposures while verification, documentation or settlement steps are completed, including fire, theft, and specie-type stock exposures.
Risk management
Four stages, recorded in writing
Requirement shared
The counterparty states the product, route, destination and the protection required.
Risk review
Route, handling, counterparty and documentation risks are assessed and written up.
Arrangement proposed
An arrangement is proposed for consideration, subject to underwriting acceptance.
In-transaction support
Support continues through handover, movement and receipt, with records retained.
Risk areas reviewed
Counterparty risk
Who the parties are, how they are verified, and what documentation supports the relationship before anything moves.
Transit and route risk
Route selection, carriers, handover points, escorting, sealing and the evidence retained at each stage.
Custody and storage risk
Where product sits between stages, who controls access, and how holdings are recorded and reconciled.
Handling and weight risk
Weighing, sampling and repackaging steps where discrepancies most often arise, and the witnessing arranged around them.
Documentation risk
Whether the origin, assay, export and transport records form a pack an insurer and a receiving institution will accept.
Operational and site risk
Site practices, safety, contractor arrangements and plant exposures at sourcing and processing locations.
Services provided
Transaction risk review
A structured review of the counterparty, route, product and documentation position before a transaction is progressed, so risks are identified early rather than at delivery.
Cargo and transit cover
Arrangement of insurance for secure movement of refined product, from the point handover is agreed to the receiving facility, in line with the Incoterm applied.
Vault and storage arrangements
Assistance with insured storage and custody arrangements while verification, documentation or settlement steps are being completed.
Handling and security planning
Support on secure handling, escorted movement, sealing and tamper-evident packaging expectations between the facility, the airport and the destination.
Claims and incident assistance
A single point of contact if an incident, shortfall or discrepancy arises, including evidence gathering and coordination with the insurer appointed.
Compliance-adjacent assistance
Guidance on documentation packs, evidence of origin and the records insurers and receiving institutions commonly ask to see. Not legal or regulatory advice.
Claims support
A single point of contact if something goes wrong
If an incident, shortfall or discrepancy arises, Osford Risk Group assists with notifying the insurer appointed, gathering evidence, preserving packaging, seals and weighing records, and coordinating the steps required while the matter is assessed. Outcomes remain a matter for the insurer and the policy terms.
